Corrosion protection
Under Body Rust Treatment
Salt, moisture and road debris attack the chassis first. We treat active rust, seal vulnerable metal and apply a durable rust-proofing coat so the underside stays sound.
The work
Underbody corrosion rarely stays cosmetic. Once it reaches outriggers, sills or suspension mounts, repair becomes slower, more expensive and harder to reverse. Our rust treatment programme is built around inspection, preparation and a finish that holds up to British winters.
The vehicle is raised so we can see the full underside, not just the easy-to-reach panels. Loose scale is removed, remaining metal is treated, and exposed areas are sealed before a protective coating is applied. That sequence is what keeps rust from coming back through the same spots.
Whether you have a daily driver, a cherished classic or a vehicle you intend to keep for years, early treatment is the difference between a controlled job and a structural rebuild.
The result
Before and after
Slide left for after, slide right for before.
How we work
The process
01
Inspect the underside
The car is raised so we can map rust on the chassis, sills, arches and mounting points before any work starts.
02
Prepare the metal
Loose scale and failed coatings are removed so treatment bonds to sound metal rather than sitting on top of decay.
03
Treat and seal
Active corrosion is treated and remaining metal is sealed to stop moisture reaching the same areas again.
04
Protect and check
A long-lasting rust-proofing coat is applied and the underside is checked so coverage is even and complete.
Protect the underside before rust spreads.
