Wheels restored to finish

Alloy Refurbishment

Kerbing, corrosion and faded lacquer make even a well-kept car look tired. We refurbish diamond-cut and painted alloys so the wheels match the standard of the rest of the vehicle.

The work

Alloys take the daily hits that bodywork often avoids: kerbs, winter salt and stone chips at the rim. Left alone, those marks spread into corrosion under the lacquer and become harder to restore cleanly.

We refurbish painted, diamond-cut and mixed-finish wheels. The process depends on the original style — a diamond-cut face needs a different sequence from a fully painted rim — but the aim is the same: a true, even finish that looks original.

Refurbished wheels should not shout. They should simply look as if they were never kerbed in the first place.

How we work

The process

  1. 01

    Inspect each wheel

We check for cracks, buckles and the original finish type so the refurbishment method is correct from the start.

  2. 02

    Repair the damage

Kerbed edges and surface corrosion are prepared so the new finish is not hiding an uneven rim.

  3. 03

    Restore the finish

Painted, diamond-cut or mixed finishes are applied to match the wheel’s original appearance.

  4. 04

    Protect the rim

Lacquer and final checks lock in the finish and help resist the next round of road salt and stone chips.
